Tool Bags
Heavy duty tool bags built from 1000D PVC, with reinforced bases and lockable YKK zips across the range. Four models. The Basic is a full size tool bag for general trade work, soft sided throughout at the entry price. The Basic Plus adds an extra large zipped pocket on each end, so there are two more places to get at gear without opening the main compartment. The Hard Base is the top of the range, with a moulded base and rigid back and sides so the bag holds its shape under a full load instead of sagging. The Utility is a small tool bag for the gear you reach for most, narrow enough to sit in a footwell at 330 x 140 x 270mm and 660g. Every bag is water resistant and wipes down, and the heavy duty YKK zips take a padlock. Colours run black, blue, orange, pink, tan and green depending on the model. After something more specific? Tool rolls and spanner rolls keep hand tools flat and in order inside the bag. Tech bags are sized for meters and testers rather than spanners. Factory seconds carry cosmetic marks only, at a lower price.
Tool bag questions
What size tool bag do I need?
For a full kit, the 53 litre Basic Plus is the standard choice. Step up to the 59 litre Hard Base if you load the bag heavily and want it to hold its shape. The 13 litre Utility works as a grab bag for the tools you use every day rather than as your only bag.
What is the difference between Basic Plus and Hard Base?
The Hard Base adds a moulded hard base with rigid back and sides, so it stays upright under a full load rather than sagging. It also has a removable centre divider and an upgraded padded removable strap. The Basic Plus has a fixed centre divider and a standard padded strap. Internal pocket layout is otherwise the same: 3 large and 6 small.
Can the bags be locked?
Yes. Every bag uses lockable heavy duty YKK zips, so the pulls take a padlock. A soft sided bag can still be cut, so treat it as a deterrent rather than secure storage.
What does 1000D PVC mean?
Denier measures yarn thickness in the fabric. 1000D is a heavy weave that resists abrasion on site. The PVC coating makes the surface water resistant and wipe clean.
Are the bags waterproof?
They are water resistant, not waterproof. The PVC sheds rain and hoses clean, but the bags are not sealed.
