Collection: Fair Use Ts & Cs

Fair Use Policy – Legion Gear Tool Bags & Cool Bags

At Legion Gear, we build our products to withstand the harshest Australian worksites. Our bags are designed with durability, practicality, and performance in mind — but like any professional gear, they must be used as intended.

This Fair Use Policy outlines acceptable use of Legion Gear products and sets out the conditions under which warranty claims or customer service requests may be declined.

1. Intended Use

Legion Gear bags are designed specifically for:

  • Carrying hand tools, small equipment, and accessories commonly used on mining, construction, or trade sites (tool bags)

  • Transporting and preserving food and beverages under typical jobsite conditions (cool bags)

They are not designed for:

  • Lifting or hauling loads beyond the recommended weight limits

  • Storing or transporting hazardous chemicals or corrosive materials

  • Use as climbing equipment, tie-downs, lifting slings, or transport restraints

  • Exposure to sharp tools or machinery without protective inserts

2. Fair Use Guidelines

Your Legion Gear bag is covered under warranty only when used in accordance with the following conditions:

✅ Normal wear and tear consistent with use on a job site
✅ Storage of tools and items within the product’s design specifications
✅ Exposure to typical worksite environments (dust, dirt, rain, UV)

The following are considered unfair use and will void any warranty or return eligibility:

  • Overloading the bag beyond its recommended weight capacity (refer to product specifications)

  • Intentionally cutting, puncturing, burning, or modifying the bag

  • Using the bag as a lifting, towing, or load-bearing device

  • Exposure to corrosive chemicals, excessive moisture, solvents, or high-temperature materials

  • Storing or transporting industrial, flammable, or hazardous materials

  • Use of the bag in a commercial or industrial capacity outside its intended design

  • Neglect, misuse, or failure to follow basic care instructions (e.g. storing wet, failure to clean)

3. Warranty Limitations

We proudly stand behind the quality of our gear. However, we reserve the right to decline warranty claims where damage or failure is determined to be caused by:

  • Unfair use as defined above

  • Accidents, misuse, or abusive treatment

  • Normal aesthetic wear (e.g. fading, stains, scuffs)

  • Improper storage, cleaning, or maintenance

If your bag has failed within warranty due to a manufacturing defect, we’ll make it right. But fair use must be demonstrated.

4. Proof & Assessment

To process a claim, we may require:

  • Photos or videos of the defect

  • Description of usage conditions

  • Proof of purchase and age of the bag

All claims are assessed at our sole discretion based on the principles outlined in this policy.
